Strawberries provide vitamin C and fiber, along with great flavor. Be sure to get at least 2 to 3 servings of fruit daily.

Fresh strawberries abound? Make cool, refreshing sorbet. Freeze a few simple ingredients for something wonderful. From eatbetteramerica.

Start to Finish:4 hr 50 min
makes:8 servings

2cups chopped fresh strawberries
2cups red wine or apple juice
1/4cup chopped fresh or 1 tablespoon dried mint leaves
3tablespoons honey
1teaspoon grated lemon peel
1.In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, heat strawberries, wine, mint and honey over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally; remove from heat. Cover; refrigerate at least 4 hours but no longer than 24 hours.
2.In blender or food processor, place strawberry mixture. Cover and blend until smooth; strain.
3.Stir in lemon peel. Pour into 1-quart ice-cream freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's directions.

This was great! It's super easy and quick to make and it was very light and tasty. I used a little lemon juice instead of the peel with great results. A keeper!
